The spoiler table

I’ve often looked at spoilers on the back of boy racer cars and wondered what they were for. When I lived in East London, nearly every young new driver would insist on having a vehicle that had them.  A bit odd considering that London drivers rarely get above 8mph.

But, now I know exactly why the spoiler is there…
