Maybe if people stopped trying to shut out others by busily identifying themselves as part of smaller groups, we could all live together as one group, the human group. When people self-identify as a particular religion, a particular country, a particular family, to the exclusion of the bigger possible identity of humanity, we then have problems. Hatred builds from suspicion, suspicion builds from separationism. We have to be humans. Together. That would be doing the right thing.
