The colours are vivid and primary, but mainly they are striking. Very striking.
Most importantly, they are extremely pleasing on the eye. The contrasts complement each other. They make people feel happy.
So, why are most house colours so drab and boring and dull?
Typically, everything is a dull red, and woodwork is always painted a form of white. Street after street of houses will all be regimentally coloured exactly the same. It’s as if there’s some kind of fear of making streets look exciting and colourful. It’s as if the only acceptable decor is dull or dull.
Isn’t it time streets brightened our lives by containing eye-catching multi-coloured housing?
