There’ll always be an England?

It’s National English Day today, St George’s Day.

Every country has a national day.

Most of them celebrate their national day loudly and proudly.

Some countries declare a national holiday for their national day (Mind you, some countries have their own Parliament and country-wide radio stations).

We can only hope that eventually not only will the National English Day mean a day off, but also the people who were born and live in England, or have settled here and call it ‘home’, will be able to hold their heads up proudly and celebrate without fear of attack by the mad people who deem it wrong for English people to have a day to celebrate their country, or to even call themselves ‘English’.

Happy St George’s Day y’all.
