The sun is flipping upside down

The sun is about to do a flip of its magnetic poles.

Any moment now the north pole will become the south pole and the south pole will become the north pole. These be changin’ times.

As our technology and our ability to ‘record’ things on a global scale improves, are we able to track the effect it has on us?

I mean, we can easily see the way the influence of the moon creates ‘lunatics’ at times when it’s full, and anybody who has tried to produce a phone-in show will tell you it’s a bad time trying to filter through sensible callers.  The same seems to be the case when it comes to violence on the streets outside clubs, and there’s the obvious relationship the human reproductive cycle has with the moon.

But what of the influence the sun has?

It’s fairly obvious it has a direct correlation to our planet’s climate.  (Strangely, there are some people out there who deny this!)  Higher ‘sunspot’ activity seems to correlate to warmer climates, less or no ‘sunspot’ activity correlates to cooler times.  It’s more complex than that, but as a basis for ‘forecasting’, the sun’s actions can show us what’s ahead with global warming and cooling patterns.

Then, of course, there’s the massive interruption to our electricity supplies that a coronal mass ejection directed at us can cause.  We can watch the aurora increase or change as our planet’s natural defences protect us from the various things the sun spits at us.  But, these are all the things we can actually see.

The physical effects are visible.  But what of the psychological effects?  How is the sun changing or controlling our minds, our moods, our thinking, our relationships with other humans?

I mean, as an example, was the ‘Arab spring’ related to the sun’s activities? What about the relaxing of the intolerance to homosexuality?  The rapid shedding of religion and move to secularism?

Ok, yes, I know there are many countries and regions where these examples are a very long way from being implemented, but we do seem to go through changes in bursts.  Are these bursts of moving forward in the human mindset related to activity on the sun?

As I mentioned, we now have the ability, through mainstream and social media, to take global ‘snapshots’ of our moods across the planet.  Is anybody doing a study and relating how we humans are behaving, our attitudes, and feelings of well-being to what’s happening on the sun?

If not, why not?
