Sunset at the North Pole

One of the sadnesses of the ease of human mobility and greater resilience is that more and more humans are infesting the North Pole.

The natural beauty is being slowly destroyed by ‘adventurers’ and environmental (with the emphasis on the ‘mental’) voyeurs altering this previously human-free habitat, contributing to the greatly accelerated melting of the Arctic sea-ice.  Heck, it’s even become a place for weddings and celebrations, with a ‘pop-up’ airport.

Shame.

For how much longer will there be this kind of beauty to capture on film?

Our ‘little’ sun sets ‘below’ our moon.  Enjoy.
