What’s wrong with these pictures?

Here we go then.  What’s wrong with these pictures?  They are (supposedly) part of a Colgate promotion.

Notice anything?

Anything?

Ok, so you are probably saying, “The guys have got something on their teeth, or inbetween their teeth.”

To be fair, I think there’s a certain level of misdirection because we all know it’s a Colgate promotion, don’t we, so really we only look at the teeth.  But, what it’s supposed to be proving is happening is that we are so obsessed with faces and appearance that we miss the much bigger anomalies.

So, did you count the number of fingers on the lady’s hand in the first picture?  Or wonder where that hand was actually coming from in the second picture?  Or notice the lack of an ear on the gentleman in the last?

I wonder how things would have worked out without the ‘direction’ to the teeth, but it’s interesting, innit.
