Here’s a couple of interesting screen-grabs:
The first is from Facebook’s terms of service. Basically what they are saying is that anything over which you have intellectual property (IP) rights (such as photos and videos), you have automatically given Facebook permission to use as they wish. If you try to delete your content over which you have IP rights, and it has been shared to or by others, tough. It stays out there forever.
The second is from Google, mainly from Picasa, their large photo storage and sharing facility. Basically what they are saying is that it’s all yours and Google wants no rights over it. They don’t use your content for anything else.
So then, which is the better place to store a photo or two?
