This is just one of the bedrooms in an excellent German hotel of art, known as the Propeller Island City Lodge. Situated in Berlin, it is a stunning hotel of 45 rooms, each with an extravagant and completely different over-the-top theme ready to challenge your perception.
As I always say, only those who dare to be different will make a difference, and artist Lars Stroschen certainly makes a difference. All I can advise is to spend some time looking through the on-line gallery of the rooms (for stunning photography, click on ‘Big’ on the rooms you wish to explore more) on their website.
None of the rooms are that badly priced, and I can imagine living in some of them permanently, or indeed, heading to one if I wanted to be comfortable as I was dying. The room with cages looks interesting, not to mention the cell with a toilet and a very large escape hole in the wall – explore to see what I mean!

Wow, I just looked at that site. The hotel looks brilliant. It would be god to hear from somebody who has stayed there.
