I doubt we will see a real peace until we eradicate a few of the dominant and aggressive religions from the world. It is those that are at war, and the people are but the fodder.
The Islamic plan is to have Europe fully Muslim within 50 years. This might be a good thing – one single religion. I don’t know how long it took the Christians to take over from the original (predominantly) pagan religions, but they did it by force, with little regard for the individuals they tortured or burnt in order to impress upon the population that theirs was the right path.
I assume that when we are all Muslim brothers we will be united in a greater peace than at present. Hmm, maybe not. Muslim brother fights Muslim brother around the world, almost as much as Christian brother fights Christian brother.
Actually, my plan would be to expose all religious beliefs as merely being part of a delusional mental illness brought on by fear of death and the need for the immortality that a nice afterlife and god-system brings.
If we could coax people to face and accept their mortality instead of hiding behind a religion, then they’d also accept that there’s no time to waste and might just get on with being nice instead of finding reasons to hate. Then we’d get a little peace and love in this world.
