Today, parts of England are voting. In Liverpool we are voting for local councillors and also for a new Mayor.
We’ve not had an elected Mayor before, and you know what?
Nobody asked us if we wanted a Mayor!
We were just told that we have to elect a Mayor, and how they didn’t have enough money to ask if we wanted one in the first place.
Now, considering that when we were asked if we wanted a regional assembly we said no, why is this being forced upon us?
It just seems to be another way to spend our precious money on providing highly paid jobs for the boys. And that’s why turnout will be so very low today.
