It’s Christmas Day.
For a majority of the planet today is just another day. However, for most of the English speaking and ‘western’ world it’s a confused holiday.
It’s merged an old traditional festival designed to make the sun not go away (shortest day, winter solstice, whatever) which itself was then used by the Pagans, along with a celebration of the birth of a religious prophet or god or whatever he is depicted as.
This confusion could be to blame for the confusion that actually happens on Christmas Day!
What happens is a mad mixture of happiness and sadness. People try to do the family thing and be happy, but they end up fighting and screaming at each other.
So, like I said, Christmas Day is a very confused holiday. Wear a crash-helmet!
