There was a time when we ‘feared’ the computer. I don’t mean back in the 1950s and 1960s when, for some reason, we assumed it would take over the world a make us slaves to it. (Heh! That never happened, did it? We’re not slaves to our computers are we? Erm. Are we?) I mean, we feared it would completely change the way we live and breath.
I don’t think we can blame the computer itself. Maybe the ‘internet’ and definitely ‘social media’ (especially the evil Facebook), but not the computer. Can we?
Am I right? Hello? Anybody out there?
Damn. I’d better go and pose this question on Facebook. I hope they haven’t missed me whilst I’ve been here writing this.
