What a beautiful picture of a spectacular ‘show’ witnessed by hundreds of Norwegians early yesterday morning. It looks like it’s ‘photoshopped’, but it’s a genuine picture of what was seen. And what was it that was seen?
Well, it was a fast moving spiralling ‘show’ that, well, looked like it looks in the photo. The spiralling bits were moving and were so high up that it was visible over a huge part of the country.
So then. Was it a time vortex worm hole opening up because of the activities inside the Large Hadron Colider? Was it a ‘stargate’ opening and bringing an alien invasion force? Was it a natural phenomenon a bit like the aurora borealis?
Nice and exciting though it would be for one of those sci-fi answers to be true, sadly I suspect it’s a bit more man made and boring to explain. I suspect it was a rocket.
It was either a rocket out of control, maybe even being aborted, or it was the launch stage of a rocket going through its death throes but leaving the spectacular and awesome light show behind.
There was a warning that a rocket would be launched overnight in that sort of area, so this seems the most plausible (At the time of writing this, nothing has been declared as the cause).
But, what a brilliant light show, eh?
I know it would cost millions, but wouldn’t it be great to have one of these as part of a firework display to help see in 2010!
