Hey. You feeling weepy?

Is it the weather?  Is everybody currently “under the weather”?  It must be the weather.  Or maybe it’s some kind of mass drugging that’s going on.  Whatever it is, it’s weird and something’s not right.

Across different parts of the UK people are all suddenly and simultaneously feeling very weepy, very down, miserable, fed-up, unhappy, unsettled or spooked and nervous.  Why?  Why is it all happening at once?

There is a large weather system currently dumping tonnes of water onto parts of Britain, flooding homes and washing away bridges and roads.  So, maybe that’s got something to do with it.  Not that people are getting miserable about the event, but that the weather system is in some way making people feel, well, “under the weather”.  The generally dark heavily water filled clouds bring with them the weird electrical charges that lead to thunder and lightening, and these changes in the static electricity around us must affect us in some way.  We know that some get headaches and that ears and eyes can feel the affects of storms, so logically the feeling of well-being (or not, as is the current case) can be drastically affected by the more severe weather systems.

Is that what’s going on?  This massively wet weather system crossing the UK, is it causing a real human depression across the UK?  If it is, doesn’t it make you realise just how useless and fragile humans really are!  How would we ever cope out in space or on another planet with different weather systems?

Anyway, for the here and now, don’t worry; be happy.  Or at least try not to be too unhappy.  There’s sunshine on the way, honest.
