Well, I blame Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Back in the 1970s there was no internet, no mobile phones, and da yoof of the day didn’t use landlines as much as they used a weird concept called paper, ink and print. I think they signalled their intentions to each other by advertising in music papers.

One such group of anoraks of Monty Python and the ‘silly’ humour of the day started a publication called “Weird Concept” and collectively called themselves “The Cillie Society” with the strapline “Stop Boredom – Be Cillie”. My thanks to “Bill” for sending me this to bring it all back. That’s years of therapy undone, you bastard.
