The Wussel Bwand and Jonathan Woss saga.

Come on now. This is all some huge joke, right?

Now the Controller of Radio 2 has fallen on her sword.

Poor Andrew Sachs was swamped with journos asking if this person or that person had apologised, and if you watch the uncut interview he’s constantly saying “But, but, but I don’t want people to keep apologising, the matter’s closed”.

I am reminded of the Monty Python Dirty Fork sketch:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi2sUcVkm9E

where a diner in a restaurant makes a quiet request for his dirty fork to be changed and everybody else goes raving mad blowing it up out of all proportion.

This has got to have become the most ridiculous event in modern day history, surely? People say Ross and Brand were childish in what they originally did, but this constant hubble and bubble from people wanting to fall on their sword or apologise has just got to be far more childish, no?

Anyway, Andrew Sachs, if you’re reading, I, erm, well, I was not involved, but, oh my gosh, I apologise. I’m so damn sorry. OK? Can you ever see it in your heart to forgive me?
