Somebody stole traditional New Year’s Eve in Merseyside. Huge barriers were built stopping anybody in Liverpool actually seeing the Mersey, forcing the thousands searching for the Midnight fireworks barges to head home with tears and rain in their eyes. Nobody had bothered to tell the public that they weren’t bothering this year!
As if that wasn’t bad enough, bloody Christians stole 2 minutes of 2007. They told crowds that it was the new year well before it actually was. You’d think god would have given them a more accurate clock. I hope this isn’t an indicator of the timekeeping we can expect for the second coming.
It was very sad to find the only real ‘event’ in Liverpool designed to bring in 2008 was indeed this damn god-bothering one. I mean, bloody-hell right, they stole the 25th of December from the Pagans and told people to believe it was to celebrate the birth of their icon or to face death, and now they want to do praying stuff in public during the secular New Year’s Eve. How long before they tell us of 31st/1st being some additionally made-up religious event? We must fight these people and never let them win.
