This stolen from the Watts Up With That site. It’s a poster made by one of the readers, and it is a very nice background to just some of those highly qualified engineers, scientists and, well, astronauts, that made up the 49 that wrote an open letter to NASA’s Director asking him to distance NASA from the wild and crazy activities of Jim Hanson of NASA’s GISS. Hanson is the guy running up and down the planet (what a massive carbon footprint, eh?) telling everybody that the world is going to end because of man-made global warming.
The thrust of these brave souls who risk the retribution of the highly financed eco-loonies behind the global warming religion, is that they would prefer NASA’s GISS to consider and present empirical evidence rather than highly fiddled with and extremely disputed computer models. They want NASA to return to being an organisation of science. Speaking out is a risk. But then, going to the moon was a risk. Risk is what these guys do.
