I’m not anti-BBC. I believe it should be there. I am a consumer of a lot of its output, and I reject the idea that it shouldn’t be a public service and should instead have to play adverts alongside (or indeed to starve) the commercial television industry.
Maybe I kinda disagree with the Licence Fee concept, opting instead for a direct payment out of our taxes. We don’t have to pay a separate bill for our Armed Forces, so why should the law be that our public broadcaster require us to pay separately? It costs so much more having a special infrastructure to collect the money, surely. Just get rid of that and there’s an immediate cost saving, and we feel we have less that’s noticeable to moan about.
But what I do strongly disagree with is the internal Guardian reading middle-class liberal-left whimp do-gooder supporting enviro-con green culture within the BBC. It’s the reason why the BBC always maintains itself left of centre editorially. It’s the reason why the BBC will push and promote left of centre political beliefs like my pet hate ‘global warming’. It’s the reason why the BBC is a propaganda tool for complacency and irrelevance.
The BBC self-feeds. It doesn’t let outsiders in. Nobody with a different perspective or point of view can get through the door. Everybody has to be the same or they just don’t fit in.
Even jobs within the BBC are only advertised in the Guardian, the Bible of their fixed opinions, truth and faith. Applicants all have to have the same white middle-class mind-set. The mind-set that is based on not really having any logical understanding of the real world. You know the one; the mind-set that won’t stop little Johnny from drawing all over the wall-paper lest it damages his creative flow. The mind-set that teaches little Johnny that damaging the Cenotaph is not going to upset anybody. The mind-set that thinks it’s ok to (positively) discriminate in order to give employment to those less able to do jobs than others but just happen to be gay or from a particular ethnic group. The mind-set that then fears subsequently sacking their choices when they turn out to be out of their depth and unable to perform and so go off on extended and completely acceptable ‘stress leave’ for six months. The mind-set that forces fellow employees to undergo very expensive brain changing seminars to force them to think the same way or be found guilty of an internal crime against the ‘BBC way’. The mind-set that thinks Powerpoint is the ultimate tool of knowledge.
Yes, that’s the BBC of which I am extremely anti!
Is this the BBC that’s relocating to Salford, away from the madness? Will they be leaving the loonies behind in London?
Not at all. The mental illness has arrived in Salford. Unfortunately the mental condition appears to still be within them in the new hub of all that is the BBC, and nothing has changed apart from the address to which the daily Guardians are now delivered.
The broadcasting propaganda arm of the Guardian newspaper (the BBC) is now firmly, illogically and inconveniently parked near the original birthplace of the Guardian (Manchester in 1821) such is its sad dedication to propagating its views.
I don’t think we’re ever going to be able to stop this institutionalised embedded madness.
