There are lies and there are bigger lies. And, the more lies one tells the more lies one has to tell.
This appears to have happened within the Meteorological Office. I say ‘appears’ because I cannot see a more rational explanation for an extraordinary collection of very recent events.
I guess you have to be aware that the Met Office is now run by a guy whose previous incarnation was as an activist for an organisation with a sole purpose of promoting the Eco-agenda and advocates of the whole Global Warming religion. One can only assume that this Eco-agenda has now completely infected the Met Office making them so obsessed with the agenda of producing pro-Global Warming propaganda that they have lost sight of their purpose to produce accurate weather forecasts. The Billions of Pounds that they charge us each year for not being able to do much more than tell us what the weather is like right now is also funding the drip feeding of the ‘warmist’ propaganda into nearly everything they say.
Pretty obviously they got caught out once again by the record cold and deluges of snow during December that froze large parts of the UK to a standstill. They forgot that they had already published via their website a trend forecast suggesting that December temperatures would be milder than usual. As the freezing weather took hold they were fairly obviously caught out and started issuing their not so useful Severe Weather warnings 12 to 24 hours ahead of the damage being done. Far too late for anybody to do anything useful to prevent the deaths and chaos. This in marked contrast to the Weather Warnings being issued by those who study the Sun and up to a month ahead were warning of an exceptional and disruptive frozen spell.
Now we hear the ridiculous claim from the Met Office that it secretly warned the Government well in advance of the freeze that it was coming. They claim they didn’t go public with this because of their embarrassment about being completely unable to forecast any of the previous five summers and winters accurately. Their admission that they supposedly told the Government in secret was a response to the growing “What the fek?” questioning that has been fired in their direction asking why they not been able to forecast the fact the there would be record lows powerful enough to almost all but destroy the water supply system in Northern Ireland.
What are we supposed to think? Was the temperature trend forecast on their website deliberately different to what they were secretly whispering to the Government? If so, why would you do that? Why tell the public one thing and the Government (in secret) something else?
There can be no acceptable rational explanation.
Doesn’t this all just sound a little like what somebody might say unwittingly digging an even bigger hole for themselves when they’ve been caught out with their first lot of lies and deceit?
It really is unbelievable. It certainly goes no way to helping dissipate the conspiracy theories surrounding people in key positions and their New World Order agendas.
It is time for heads to roll, bonuses to be cut, and the Met Office to be moved away from its Global Warming propaganda business and concentrate on the weather forecasting business we are all paying a fortune for.
