Atheists form about 16% of the population of the USA, yet disproportionately form only 0.21% of the prison population.



Conclusion:

Atheists are more moral than Christians and are far less attracted to crime and having to do time!

  1. Or is it simply that Christians have a different set of moral codes that are in conflict with those of the state and as a result suffer for their religious beliefs ?

    Your conclusion is lacking in substance and implies that 99.79 % of the US prison population is Christian.

    This is wholly incorrect and ignores Muslims, Jews etc., who are also in the prison system.

  2. Muslims make up just over 7%, Jews 1.8% of inmates with a religion. apart from a tiny number representing other faiths, including those of rhe Native Americans, the rest are Christians. Hence why I'd conclude that the extremely dominant religion driving the criminals of America is overwhelmingly Christianty.

  5. Can't agree with your conclusions, there's about as much creedence in this as the climatechange loonys and there Carbon emissions conclusions.

    Anyway, the word atheist is more than 99% overused. Most so called atheists are actually agnostic. (For those of you who dont know, this means they don't believe in a god but dont caterogically deny the possibility although they think it's highly unlikely). Atheists denying the existence totally and absolutely of anything beyond the physical organic existence here put themselves above the gods they profess dont exist).
