All of the above. There is no other choice. People who have committed crimes need to be punished however also rehabilitation with resources to get their lives straightened out to prevent future crime. (many are a product of their environment and know no different), The victims need help and counseling as sometimes they feel their lives have been destroyed and altered horribly. They need to feel whole again and regain their spirits back.
The question posed infers that the person in question was already a criminal prior to this conviction.
“After A CRIMINAL is found guilty …”
Therefore I assume you are refering to a repeat offender and career criminal.
As they are career criminals and would have committed very serious crimes, the death penalty would seem suitable. However I do not support the concept of allowing the state to use violence against its citizenry. Therefore such a Death penalty would have to be a 'non-violent' method of execution such as non-painfil lethal injection or medication.
(I'm not really sure what c means, so I'll leave that one out) That's a tricky one. Different things work for different people. For me, only rehabilitation works, unless the punishment is very bad, and I didn't enjoy the thing enough for it to be worth doing again.
For others, who are a bit scared of authority, punishment works.
But you can't just ask them which works. They will all say punishment doesn't work, cos they don't want a punishment.
“c)” means that in the future further people will be hurt by the criminal. Quite simply keeping the criminal in prison and never letting them out avoids this.
