Andrew Neil is an excellent fact checker

The climate change ‘debate’ is sadly no longer a ‘debate’.

There is climate science, spewing out a regular stream of valid theories via peer reviewed papers.  As with all science, the papers become superseded as new theories and understandings replace them.  Or new papers will demonstrate how a previously published conclusion was completely correct.  Science is never completely settled on any subject.  It is always fluid until we arrive at the ‘right’ understanding.  This is usually an understanding that cannot be successfully challenged by either logical argument or empirical science.

For most sciencey subjects this is an exciting time as we learn more about our universe or more about the tiniest parts of what everything is.  There is nothing wrong with finding more information and allowing it to evolve or negate previous understanding.

However, when it comes to climate science, the actual science has been deserted in public.

The public hear just the fear stories and shouty voices of the non-scientific greenie lobbyists rather than any credible scientists.  Among them now and again are the voices of scientists usually receiving huge financial backing to keep the blame for the imaginary global warming on humanity.  But their voices are tiny compared to the political activists who shout at anybody off message and scream at politicians until they submit to introducing policies to placate the greenies.

Greenies hate humanity and will only be happy with policies that force depopulation and returning us to pre-industrial hand to mouth existence.  Hence why they provide politicians with sound-bites that sound ok but actually mean nothing when opened up to scrutiny.

The current patsy in the UK for the greenies to control the mind of is Ed Davy.  His department is costing us a fortune via policies that stand in the way of cheap and efficient energy production and force upon us expensive and inefficient green ideas that we have to pay a fortune for.

It is right therefore to interrogate politicians like Ed Davy about the justification for spending so much of our money for a cause that seems to no longer be a valid one, considering that there is no global warming.  So as part of the Sunday Politics TV programme, that’s exactly what Andrew Neil did.

As you can imagine, the greenies watching were horrified.  He must have his facts wrong, ‘there is global warming, there is global warming, there is, there is, there is‘, they wailed as they stamped their feet via social media.   Man, what a slagging match the highly financed greenie advocates shouted and screamed at Andrew Neil.  Not the scientists of course, they didn’t join in, it was just the advocacy groups. And, wow, what an angry campaign the highly funded global warming advocacy industry has been waging against him ever since.

This led to this completely excellent rebuttal of their inane wails, and defence of the interview, including a listing of all the facts that were provided by leading climate scientists and used by Andrew Neil to ask Ed Davy if his policy was still relevant.  It should be studied very carefully by those who want to look at the actual facts about climate change policy being decided on scare stories and inaccurate computer modelling.  Read on! It’s all here.
