This is outrageous footage.
What a difference there is between the victims of the current masacre in Gaza, and the wailing faux frightened in Israel.
And nothing demonstrates it more than the CNN simultaneous Skype interviews with a resident of Ashkelon, Israel and a resident of Gaza.
The Israeli, Nissim Nahoom, was all teary eyed and telling us how, even though he’d not actually experienced any of the rockets and missiles coming from Gaza himself, he was upset for his wife and family for each time they had to move into the safe room each time the air raid sirens went off, and the Israeli interceptor missiles were launched to make pretty sure the Gazan missiles came nowhere near them.
Gazans, of course, have no safe rooms.
They have no advanced air raid warnings.
They have no interceptor missiles to stop the Israeli attacks.
The people of Gaza have no option but to wait for the death and injury that the Israelis are actually inflicting on them.
As Mohammed Sulaiman was talking over Skype to CNN he was trying to keep calm. He was doing none of the pretend weeping for his children. He calmly explained that he feared for his life.
In the background we could hear distant explosions, but they were getting closer. Despite this, Sulaiman bravely wanted to carry on with the debate, the conversation, the discourse. “I’m not going to let these bombs interrupt me” he said, although visibly terrified. The explosions got louder until we saw the room actually shaking, and we heard one final extremely loud explosion before he was cut off.
So, on the one hand we had the very safe Jew going on about his fear of potentially being bombed by those evil Gazans and it was all their fault, and on the other hand we had somebody actually being bombed, living where the Jews were pounding with highly sophisticated missile after missile after missile.
I know which one my heart went out to.
It really is time for the world to come down heavily on israel, to force them to STOP THE MASSACRE of these poor innocent people that they hate so much.
50% of Gazans are children. The Israelis have mainly killed the adults. Now 32% of Gazans being killed are children. This cannot be acceptable.
I find it hard to be sympathetic towards the Israelis. Yes, I know that some nasty Arabs are shooting fireworks at them, but to punish them all, to kill all these children again is just barbaric. I say ‘again’, because Israel has a habit of punishing every Gazan for the actions of the few. Israelis call the Gazans ‘cattle’ and keep them herded up inside a mainly infertile land mass without allowing medical supplies or other amenities to get through.
Historically Israelis have boarded ships bringing aid to Gaza and have targeted and murdered journalists and unarmed innocents on board. They have just fired upon a building in Gaza containing the world’s media, and putting Gazan media off the air. Again they have killed and maimed journalists and cameramen.
The Israeli Interior Minister has declared the plan is to, in his words, “Flatten Gaza, send it back to the Middle Ages, they need to die.”
Are we really going to allow them to do this?
We really should be very very angry about this.
These people have to be stopped. They really have to be stopped.
