It is fashionable amongst the ex-Britpop and new media generation to be right-on New Labour supporters. All that’s vulgar about this selfish binge drinking coke snorting middle-‘new money’-class who are now in their late 30s early 40s was epitomised in New Labour when it swept to power in 1997. The ‘spin’ lunatics had taken over the asylum, and so started the reign of lies and deceit that nobody objected to because at least it wasn’t the Conservatives any more. They could push through legislation and policies far more ‘right-wing’ than the Tories ever had because the New Labour generation were too busy sniffing to smell a rat. They could lie far worse lies than the Tories had done, but it was alright, they weren’t the Tories so nobody cared. Not a soul blinked as Margaret Thatcher was called to advise and discuss policies with Tony Blair.
Meanwhile, whilst New Labour’s Blair went on religious crusades into other countries on false premises that nobody really worried about, the Tories entered their wilderness decade. Their support depleted and having grown old and tired, they fumbled around weakly missing every opportunity to show the country what was really going on. A succession of leaders with confused and grey ideas failed to generate more than a tiny whisper into the public’s ear. A new image and new mouthpiece was needed. But, that’s where the wheels ground to a halt. Until now.
At last, there is one single person who will lead a youthful rebellion against the Labour liars and bring a more honest government to the new generation.
For some people he was discovered in one of the most obscure places, although he has actively been around for very many years, but not in the public eye or capturing their imagination the way he already is right now.
Only a few have sussed who he is so far, and a young lady called Chloe finally put in writing what those of us who observe these things had all been thinking. In fact, she hired a plane and put it in writing on a huge banner that was flown all over London.
The man she supported, indeed, the man I support and want as a leader of the Conservative Party is everything that Labour spin doctors will tell you the Tories aren’t. He is black and he is homosexual. We need him as our Prime Minister.
He is Derek Laud and he is currently a housemate on the Channel 4 reality TV show Big Brother. On the show he has continually proven himself capable of taking a logical and fair stand on all issues, and despite being nearly twice the age of some of the other more unbalanced contestants, has shown he has honesty and integrity, strength, compassion and understanding of the issues that affect them. Despite a passion for hunting with hounds and the traditions associated with the old Tory party membership, he is completely grounded with an appreciation of modern youth culture, its music and its passions. He is the perfect mix of old and new values, and tomorrow’s generation believe in the people they see on TV.
Derek Laud is not completely perfect in every way, nobody is, but he is the perfect candidate for a future leader of this country. Political history is peppered with missed opportunities, and it will be extremely distressing if this opportunity is missed. I have already signed Chloe’s petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/drk4pm/petition.html and I would urge you to do so as well.
Once Derek is out of the Big Brother house he needs to be fast-tracked into the political lime-light, and into a position where he can speak to the people. He needs to challenge the complacency in the Conservative party, and lead them to victory and so save our country from the decade of Labour horror, lies and spin extending for any longer than the next Election.
Vote for Derek Laud!
